Modern Family

For this kitchen remodel, the owners of the 1995-built house wanted a classic look with a modern twist. With the owners living out-of-state, we implemented a 100% virtual design process to create a contemporary look consisting of dark base cabinets and white upper cabinets.

With a goal to prioritize functionality in the space, we implemented two noteworthy custom solutions as part of the kitchen design:

1. In order to save space and maximize storage, we installed a counter-depth paneled fridge that blends seamlessly with the adjoining pantry.

2. To keep counterspace clear and to avoid big appliances from becoming an eyesore, we created a dedicated pull-out shelf for a full-size Kitchen-Aid mixer in the pantry. As an added bonus, we placed an outlet inside the pantry, so that the mixer can be plugged in and used without having to move it back and forth!

To create this look we used the following materials:

Countertop: 6mm Ceramic Countertop / Smooth Black Calacatta
