Our Process

FROM DESIGN TO INSTALLATION

Expert guidance from start to finish

Our Process 1

Step #1

Complimentary design consult

Meet with one of our friendly designers virtually or in person at our showroom located in Uptown Minneapolis to envision and explore how the range of our cabinetry and countertop options can bring your vision of a new kitchen to life. To make the most of your meeting, we invite you to send us architectural renderings, blueprints, or inspiration boards ahead of time.

Step #2

Optional Home Visit

Now that we’ve had a chance to learn more about you and your new kitchen plans, we’ll want to make sure we have all the right measurements in place for the design work to get started! During a home visit, your dedicated designer will be taking notes, measuring, and documenting the space to ensure that we get all the small details just right. Alternatively, we can also use any 3D renderings or architectural blueprints you may have provided.

Our Process 2

Step #3

3D Design Review & Design Agreement

Back at the showroom, we’ll show you the design drafts in the form of functional, 3D drawings at no cost to you. We treat this meeting as a workshop, so as you look through the drafts, feel free to make changes to materials, colors, and functionality. At the end of the meeting, we’ll ask if you’d like to sign a Design Agreement that breaks down the scope of the project. Once signed, we’ll get started on the final design work.

Step #4

Finalizing Your Dream Kitchen

After the Design Agreement is signed, we’ll meet up back at the showroom, or continue the virtual design process according to your preference. You’ll get to choose all of the final details that will make up your kitchen: from the desired functionality, feel, and look of the space to the cabinets, countertop, and colors that you want for your kitchen. We’ll work closely with you to make sure that every single detail is exactly what you want.

Step #5

Contract Signing

Once the design work is complete, we’ll review and finalize all the materials with you. This ensures your project will be built quickly and efficiently. When the contract has been signed, your custom kitchen cabinetry and countertop order will be placed with our factory and the manufacturing process begins.

Step #6

Remodeling & Installation

Remodeling is typically done while your kitchen is being made at our factory. Our installation starts once your kitchen floor and walls are finished. Now the real fun begins. Once we get started with installation, creating your new dream kitchen typically takes no longer than 1-1.5 weeks. Because the materials we use are easier to put together than a traditional kitchen, there is much less cutting and adjusting needed to make everything fit together. This will help streamline the process and make it much more tolerable on your end as well.

Step #7

Final Review

We want to make sure that you are completely satisfied with your new kitchen before officially finishing the project. When the installation is complete, we’ll do a careful inspection to make sure your kitchen is ready for use. Your Puustelli cabinetry automatically includes a 30-year manufacturers warranty, so that you can rest assured that your new stunning kitchen is built to last.

What Our Clients Say

Our Process 9

Mark Huber & Deborah Van Dyke

Our Process 10
This project grew from simple shoe cabinet, to replacing the cabinets in the mud room, kitchen, dining room and family room of this open floor plan family home.

Our Process 10
This family found their almost perfect home. The 1950s split-entry rambler – that once had been a model home – had promise, but was clearly tired.

Our Process 10
We had looked at several other European high end kitchen lines for a couple of years and decided that not only are Puustelli Miinus cabinets a better value, they are simply more stylish.

Scandinavian kitchen design, coupled with moderate space plan changes, are a game changer for this vintage Mid-Century Modern Edina rambler.
