“We have lived in the house for 25 years and, as one friend mentioned, should have been on our second kitchen remodel. So we wanted to get this perfect and live into the space for our next 25 years. Our primary goal was to update the kitchen while opening up into the living room to expose the view of the back yard gardens and Bassett Creek. In the design process we looked to maintain the original Mid-century modern look while facilitating frequent entertaining. The space was further enhanced with complete high-grade lighting and studio level audio. Finally, attic insulation was supplemented to current standards, air conditioning upgraded, and indoor air quality improved with energy recovery ventilation and steam humidification.”
