Remodeled 1950s Split-Level Rambler
This family found their almost perfect home in Edina. The 1950s split-entry rambler – that once had been a model home – had promise, but was clearly tired.
Their wish was to have a clean, modern look, but still comfortable and not stark. The entire Kitchen/Main Level needed to be brought up-to-date. The new stunning and more modern Kitchen and main floor lay-out was a game changer that connected the adjacent Living Room & Dining Room to the Kitchen with powerful sightlines and much improved Entertaining capacity. We also opened a wall between the unused sun room and the dining room creating a large open space. And to finish, we painted the brick fireplace and added a simple mantel to create a more dramatic and modern look.
